Jaci Gibson and her dog Beatrice were drawn for elementary Pet of The Week. Jaci’s family got Beatrice from Huntsville, Arkansas when she was just a puppy. Beatrice is a French Mastiff and is now two years old. Beatrice lives inside with the family. Her favorite spot to lay is on the couch or by the fireplace. She likes to lay wherever she’s not allowed to. Like many dogs, Beatrice loves to snack. Her favorite snacks are rawhide pig ears, string cheese, and human food. Beatrice does not know any special skills or tricks but is very funny and clumsy. Jaci said her favorite thing to do with Beatrice is to run from her. Beatrice will chase anyone in the yard she sees. Beatrice also loves to chase the wind, she will randomly chase nothing when she is outside. Once, when the family was at the lake, Beatrice was being a bit of a klutz and fell off the boat. When Jaci’s family got Beatrice, they wanted to name her something with a B. They decided the name Beatrice would be a good fit. Jaci shares Beatrice with her sisters and parents. Beatrice is very funny and loved by the whole family.

“She’s the baby of the family.”
